"Meet Bill Creep"

(Click the Play button below to watch video)

Karen Blumenthal of The New York Times writes about "bill creep". You've met him if you have a cell phone or cable TV. And you've run into him with video rental service or the storage unit. Bill creep runs up your monthly bills. You add text messages, ring tones or games to your cell phone. With TV, you add Internet, HBO, sports, your cable bill is now fifty percent more than basic. And your storage space, you're paying a lot for stuff. What should you do? Look hard at your monthly bills. Is the stuff you're storing worth the money? Are you watching enough movies to be a Netflix subscriber? One way to avoid bill creep is to drop automatic payments. Paying the bill monthly is a good way of keeping an eye on it.
