Twenty-five years ago Eugene Lang, gave a graduation speech to sixth graders in East Harlem, encouraging them to see this as the first of several graduations. Hearing that indeed college was probably not a realilty, Lang offered to pay for each child's college education. At that moment was born the "I Have Dream" Foundation.
